- I don't know about you, but my FONTS: directory currently has (just a sec)
- 348 files.

- perfectly valid reason to.

- But the real reason Workbench is so slow with "View by name" directory
- listings is because it converts each directory entry (essentially) into a
- sort of "text icon" so that you can manipulate it on the Workbench. There
- are probably better ways to do it these days.
