  23. I don't know about you, but my FONTS: directory currently has (just a sec)
  24. 348 files.

  26. Anyway, just because _you_ don't doesn't mean somebody else doesn't have a
  27. perfectly valid reason to.

  29. But the real reason Workbench is so slow with "View by name" directory
  30. listings is because it converts each directory entry (essentially) into a
  31. sort of "text icon" so that you can manipulate it on the Workbench. There
  32. are probably better ways to do it these days.
